Veteran Qantas Wallabies and Queensland Reds lock JAMES HORWILL became the fifth Australian lock to reach the prestigious milestone of 50 Test appearances during the Qantas Wallabies’ clean sweep of France in June 2014, joining the elite company of Nathan Sharpe (116 Test), John Eales (84), Dan Vickerman (63) and David Giffin (50) before him. Horwill’s mountainous frame and passionate, abrasive approach to the game has been prevalent for the Wallabies since his debut in 2007, having also Captained the side for the 2013 British & Irish Lions Tour and the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. This season, Horwill has returned to the same form that saw him lead the Reds to the 2011 Super Rugby title, which has the powerful lock on the verge of reclaiming his regular place in the Qantas Wallabies forward pack.
