Qantas Wallabies and Waratahs duo Dave Dennis and Rob Horne today became the latest players to re-commit to Australian Rugby.

Both Horne and Dennis will remain in Australia at the NSW based Waratahs, with Horne signing on until the end of 2014 and Dennis re-committing for a further two years until the end of 2015.

Horne, who took his Test cap tally to 15 when he ran on as a substitute against the British & Irish Lions during the second Test in Melbourne, joins fellow Waratah backs, Adam Ashley-Cooper and new signing Nick Phipps to re-commit to Australian Rugby in 2014.

Horne said he was excited by the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead in 2014.

“Representing my country means a great deal to me so I’m really pleased to be staying in Australia, especially with so much to look forward to in the coming season,” Horne said.

“The opportunity to continually push myself and improve played a role in my decision, as was the chance to be a part of the continued strengthening of Rugby in NSW.

“I am really excited at what I think the NSW group can achieve.”

Despite securing 15 Test caps in his debut season as a Qantas Wallaby, 27-year old Dennis wasn’t able to add to his tally of Test appearances during the recent Lions Tour.

The impressive backrower said he was excited to be staying in Australia and was hungry for more international honours.

“I have really enjoyed my time with the Qantas Wallabies and I’m really keen to play as many more Tests as I can in the gold jersey,” Dennis said.

“I still feel as if I can achieve more and I really want to keep working hard to try and get back in the Test fold and contribute to winning a first ever Super Rugby title here with the Waratahs.”

Dennis joins fellow Waratah forwards Sekope Kepu, Wycliff Palu, Tatafu Polota-Nau and Benn Robinson in re-committing to Australia and the NSW franchise.

Other players to re-sign with ARU this year include:
James Horwill, James Slipper, Rob Simmons, Liam Gill, Scott Higginbotham, Luke Burgess, Pat McCabe, Ben McCalman, Stephen Moore and Ben Alexander.
