Rugby fans on the Gold Coast will get the chance to meet the Qantas Wallabies squad today ahead of this weekend’s historic Castrol EDGE Rugby Championship Test against Argentina at Skilled Park.

Fans will get the chance to see the players put through their paces at an open training session this afternoon at The Southport School, Winchester Street, Southport from 3:30pm. Following the training session the squad will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos.

Those in attendance will also have the chance to get their hands on some fantastic Rugby giveaways and prizes including a signed Qantas Wallabies jersey and tickets to see the Qantas Wallabies take on the Pumas this Saturday evening at Skilled Park.

On Thursday Qantas Wallabies forward Scott Higginbotham and newly capped Qantas Wallabies winger, Dom Shipperley will head to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in Broadbeach from 1:00 – 3:00pm for Qantas Wallabies Towns Gold Coast.

There’ll be a chance to win some great prizes, including tickets to the Test match along with other great giveaways.

The Qantas Wallabies Town is a grassroots initiative to connect the Qantas Wallabies with communities across Australia. Since its beginning in 2011 it has seen over 20 members of the Qantas Wallabies visit several cities and towns across the country.

The match this Saturday at Skilled Park is the first time an international Rugby Test has ever been played on the Gold Coast.  It is also the first time the Qantas Wallabies and Pumas face each other in the new Castrol EDGE Rugby Championship since the addition of Argentina to the Series this year.

Gold Coast Rugby enthusiasts should not miss out on securing their seats at this momentous Test and turn Skilled Park into a Sea of Gold this Saturday 15 September.
