National Rugby Week is for all Australian Primary and Secondary Schools, regardless of their Rugby background, to experience all things Rugby including playing the new NC7s, learning about Rugby heroes and heroines, demonstrating the Rugby values of integrity, respect, teamwork, discipline and passion, and finding out more about Rugby opportunities in their local area.
ARU wants to encourage a week of Rugby activity with a focus on new schools and participants. NRW is part of NEW a dedicated National Rugby Recruitment Product for school children, allowing any school access to School Rugby Recruitment specific resources for Classroom, Field, and Carnival participation, as part of our National Recruitment Program.
This year between 11th and 15th August, over 120,000 students in 726 schools participated in National Rugby Week. Many schools loved our new, fun, safe, fast-paced Rugby game for boys and girls of NC7s. Other schools enjoyed our Rugby themed Classroom activities.
Please tell us what you got up to in National Rugby Week; you never know you could be one of the schools that win a prize.
