How do I get qualified?

 

SMARTRUGBY QUALIFICATION
 
Attend a SmartRugby Course, or
Renew your SmartRugby online (if eligible), or 
Attend a Refereeing Kids Rugby U8-U12 Course, or
Attend a Foundation Course
 
REFEREEING KIDS RUGBY CERTIFICATION
 
Attend a Refereeing Kids Rugby U8-U12 Course
 
FOUNDATION CERTIFICATION
 
Attend a Foundation Course
 
ACCREDITATION
 
LEVEL 1 REFEREE ACCREDITATION
Attend a Foundation Course (incorporates SmartRugby), and
Pass a Level 1 Referee Law Exam (90%), and
Successfully complete a Level 1 Referee competency field test (U13s game or older).
 
LEVEL 2 REFEREE ACCREDITATION
Have current SmartRugby qualification, and
Attend at a Level 2 Referee Course, and
Pass a Level 2 Referee Law Exam (90%), and
Successfully complete a Level 2 Referee competency field test (adult teams only), and
Obtain Level 2 Touch Judge Accreditation.
 
LEVEL 3 REFEREE ACCREDITATION
 
By invitation of the ARU only
 
LEVEL 1 TOUCH JUDGE ACCREDITATION
 
Attend a Level 1 Touch Judge Course, and
Pass a Level 1 Touch Judge Exam (90%)
 
LEVEL 2 TOUCH JUDGE ACCREDITATION
 
Attend a Level 2 Touch Judge Course, and
Pass a Level 2 Touch Judge Exam (90%)
 
LEVEL 1 REFEREE COACH ACCREDITATION
 
Attend a Level 1 Referee Coach Course, and
Pass a Level 2 Referee Law Exam (90%), and
Submit 5 satisfactory referee coaching reports, and
Successfully complete of a Level 1 Referee Coach competency field test (U13s game or older)
 
LEVEL 2 REFEREE COACH ACCREDITATION
 
Attend a Level 2 Referee Coach Course, and
Pass a Level 2 Referee Law Exam (90%), and
