ARU is pleased to announce a series of National Coaching Conferences to be held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on the Wednesday preceding each British and Irish Lions Test.
Qantas Wallabies Coach, Robbie Deans, is looking forward to opening each conference. “This is a great initiative and one that offers an unrivalled opportunity for Coaches to up skill and learn from the best”.
The presenters will be a diverse mix of Wallaby, Super Rugby and National Academy Coaches, coaching consultants and sport specialists in the fields of Coaching, Sport Psychology, Sport Science, Skill Acquisition and Strength and Conditioning. A highlight is the opportunity to interact with past Wallabies and Lions players in a Q-and-A style panel session.
The aim of the Program is to provide coaching development and education to all coaches from Pathway age groups through to youth, colts, senior and High Performance levels.
Throughout the Conference, coaches will have access to a variety of Rugby and performance specific modules, such as advanced attack and defence, performance nutrition, latest recovery trends, and motivating the elite athlete.
