The Local Sporting Champions program is an Australian Government initiative aimed at helping sportspeople aged 12–18 to attend recognised sporting championships.

Successful applicants will receive a one-off individual grant of $500 or team grant of $3000 to help fund the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching, umpiring or refereeing.

Round 1 of the 2012–13 Local Sports Champions grants allocation closes on 30 June.
