On behalf of the Qantas Wallabies, thank you for your support this year, and for really embracing the One Team 2011 campaign.
To those of you who made it to the grounds in your Gold thank you, and to those who couldn’t be there in person thank you for getting behind us through your messages of support.
All of the messages were greatly appreciated.
It might not seem like a big deal, but each and every message of support carries huge significance, in terms of reminding the playing group who we represent, and what it means to play for Australia.
With our season now over it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy time with family and friends and I hope you will be doing the same.
The challenge will start again next year with an exciting eight Test schedule set for us here in Australia.
First up in June comes a Test against Scotland and three against Wales before The Castrol Edge Rugby Championship kicks in, starting in August.
The addition of Argentina, who most of us have never before played against, to that competition, will add a lot of interest to the format, especially after the Pumas were so competitive at the Rugby World Cup.
Of course we’ll still also be playing for the Bledisloe Cup and Mandela Challenge Plate, which we’ll be doing our very best to win.
You will play a crucial part in our Bledisloe quest, given that two of the three Tests next year are in Sydney and Brisbane.
It’s going to be another exciting year of Rugby.
But first we have the summer and a bit of sun to look forward to.
Have a happy and safe Christmas and New Year.
We look forward to seeing you again for kick off in 2012.
