Australia A Schools have gone down to the touring NZ Schools squad by 42 points, yesterday, with the Kiwi outfit proving too strong for the second-tier Aussie side at St. Mary's Stadium in NSW.

Australia went into the second-half down by 19-points and struggled in breaking NZ's defensive line in the second-stanza, only able to put a penalty-goal over to close the gap to 16 points.

NZ Schools bounced back soon after with a try, extending their lead, and didn't look back after registering 26-points in the final forty minutes to kick off their tour in fine fashion.

NZ now meet the Australian Schoolboys this Saturday afternoon in Sydney.
