In June 2010 Rugby lost the talented and much loved Kundayi Chiundiza. A St Andrew’s Cathedral School student and member of the school’s 1st XV Rugby team Kundayi loved his sport, music, friends and his family.
In memory of her son, Grace Chiundiza is aiming to establish “The Kundayi Chiundiza School”, in Zimbabwe, their homeland. The school will help to improve the quality of life for children in Zimbabwe, enabling them to experience some of the good things that were available to her son.
The Kundayi Chiundiza School aims to be a Christian co-educational school, offering relevant learning programs in academics, sport, music, special education, exchange programs and giving back to the community by adopting a rural school, thus producing holistic and innovative members of the global community.
As part of the fundraising, Grace Chiundiza and The Kundayi Chiundiza School Committee are hosting the “Do it for Kundayi” Fundraiser on Monday 2 December at Le Montage Bayside Events Centre, Lilyfield.
It will be a night to remember, with special guest speakers, music and entertainment, live auctions, silent auctions and much more.
St Andrew’s Cathedral School are calling on the generosity of the local and wider community by requesting donations of any items that could be used on the night and would love your support.
Donation suggestions include: memorabilia, accommodation, holidays, electrical goods, retail gift vouchers, trade services, jewellery, sporting goods, artwork, and show tickets. Anything that will assist the School in raising much needed funds to make the “Kundayi Chiundiza School” in Zimbabwe a reality will be greatly appreciated.
