What a Success! This years biggest Bledisloe Cup Roadshow to date has wound down after visiting 28 Primary Schools, 8 junior Rugby clubs, 1 Premier Club and a Junior Rugby Gala Day in Harbord. The 2 weeks prior to the Bledisloe Cup Test Match in Sydney on 22 August 2009, saw Rugby's most coveted Trophy bring smiles to the faces of some 6725 Primary and High School students and 1410 Junior and Senior Rugby players.
With the considerable excitement that the Bledisloe Cup brings, the Australian Rugby Union and NSW Rugby Union headed off to Rugby’s heartland in the Sydney region and surrounds including the Northern zone, Illawarra, Central Coast and Newcastle/Hunter. Our coaching clinics and interactive trailer were a big hit! As well as our cheeky Mascot, Wally the Wallaby.
We hope that the 2009 Bledisloe Cup Roadshow created many happy memories in the Rugby Community and we'll see you next year!
