Six tries have sealed a convincing win for the University of Canberra Brumbies over the Force on Saturday night, with a bonus point highlighting a dynamic performance by the home team.

In both attack and defence the University of Canberra Brumbies were clinical, punishing the Force on the scoreboard to the tune of 41-7.
As the military bugler piped the Last Post in true Anzac tradition prior to kick-off, the University of Canberra Brumbies were planning a decimation raid on the Western Front with the enemy positioned nicely on Canberra Stadium’s turf.
Led by Man of the Match Matt Toomua and the competition’s most lethal back three, the Brumbies were unstoppable early creating opportunities from every inch of the pitch. The four-try bonus point was sewn up before halftime, giving Head Coach Jake White the option of rotating his bench.
For long periods of the game the Force looked stunned by the Brumbies and would probably have preferred to be on vacation fishing for barramundi.
“I’m not only pleased because we played like that, but because of what happened last week when we were under the pump defensively, we got two points out of that game but it was like a Test match in terms of intensity,” White said.
“To lift it and then play like we did tonight, particularly in the first half, we mustn’t forget about that. I was very impressed with that element, I thought it was fantastic.”
Mogg opened the bidding thanks to a nice piece of lead up work from his inside backs, Lealiifano and Nic White. He was quickly followed by Speight and his signature swan dive, before Kuridrani wrestled the ball to the ground for his first career try.
After the break the Brumbies continued to mount pressure, with Joe Tomane scoring one of the best tries of the season on the back of a clever offload from Toomua.
Sealing the victory was Siliva Siliva who claimed his first career five-pointed with just over 10 minutes to play. Force skipper Matt Hodgson claimed his team’s only try with five minutes left, burrowing over from close range to break the duck egg.
The University of Canberra Brumbies will now refocus, with Sunday afternoon’s match against the Crusaders shaping as one of the most important of the 2013 Super Rugby season.
