The NSW Waratah’s fullback scored a hat-trick against the Western Force and followed it up with a double last week against the Queensland Reds. There is daylight between Izzy and the others players with 20 points separating him from second spot. Make you sure you swap the star fullback out this week for another player as the Waratahs have a bye before they take on the ACT Brumbies in Canberra. Luke Morahan is a handy replacement.- Coming in second place is the in-form five eight from South Africa, Marnitz Boshoff (57) who has been sensational for the Lions in their opening three matches. Boshoff made his Super Rugby debut in Round 1 this year and took little time to impress, scoring all of the Lions points, including a match winning drop goal to beat the Cheetahs 21-20. He is quickly rising in value so be sure to award him a spot in your fantasy team before when the Lions take on the Sharks this weekend in an all-South African derby.- In third spot sits Malakai Fekitoa (54) from the Highlanders who made his move from the Blues rookie squad last year after failing to break into the team. The explosive centre made his old franchise pay when he crossed the line to help the Highlanders to a 29-21 victory over the Blues. Fekitoa is a high flyer to look out for in 2014 as you build your Super Rugby Fantasy Team and a sure thing for your squad when the Highlanders host the Western Force in a weeks’ time.Team of the Week:- The Auckland Blues are the pick of the bunch when it comes to this week’s Super Rugby teams with Luke Braid, Charles Putai, George Moala and Frank Halai all making the top twenty fantasy players of the round. They are coming off a convincing 35-24 win over the Crusaders and they travel to South Africa this weekend to take on the Bulls, a match which is sure to deliver plenty of points. This week’s fantasy hint: Choose your captain wisely - the player who leads your team will receive double the points! The Western Force return to NIB Stadium for the second time this season and the Honey Badger wants sea of blue fans to “get your carcass on the chair”! In 2014 the Force had a slow start to the season, before finishing off strongly, and they will be hoping for a repeat after winning just one of their opening four matches this season!
The Queensland Reds are struggling with injury and form at present, and they’ve been handed another massive blow this weekend with James O’Connor (leg) & Lachie Turner (concussion) being ruled out. Suffering a 23-5 loss to the NSW Waratahs on the weekend, the Reds will run onto Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night looking to turn their season around after just one win to their name in the opening four rounds coming against the Western Force two weeks ago!
