The 2014 Queensland Reds Fan Day is fast approaching with Queensland Reds supporters invited to come and meet their favourite players at Ballymore this Sunday 9 February at 10:00am.
Attended by thousands of supporters each year, the two-hour event will give fans the perfect opportunity to meet their favourite Reds players before seeing them in action at Ballymore a week later, when the Reds take on the Rebels in their second pre-season match on Friday 14 February.
Entry and parking to the Fan Day is free, with food and drinks available for a gold coin donation.

Queensland Reds Captain James Horwill is looking forward to Fan Day and engaging with the younger generation of Reds supporters.

“Fan Day is always a fun day for the team. It’s great to be able to say thank you to the fans that come to Reds games every week and show their support,” Horwill said.

“It’s a rewarding part of the job when we get to engage with our younger fans and encourage them to get involved in the game.”

The annual Fan Day also gives young Reds fans the chance to sign-on to play for their local Junior-Rugby Club ahead of the 2014 season.

“The fan day is a great chance to display some of the pathway opportunities Queensland Rugby has for kids,” Horwill said.
“Queensland has just recently been recognised as the biggest market for Rugby participation in the country with over 250,000 people involved in the game last year.

“It’s an exciting time for the code and as players it’s our job to encourage everyone to get involved in the game.”
