One Month in and we’re already seeing signs of the best ever Super Rugby season. Below is a quick snapshot as to what has been happening, who has been scoring and who has been in trouble.

• In 27 matches, only 1 x 40 minute half has been scoreless
  - Bulls v Sharks, Round 1 – 1st half

• More points have been scored in the 1st half of matches, with 669 points being scored across all 1st half of the 27 matches so far and 589 in the 2nd half of matches

• In 27 matches, only 2 x 40 minute halves have been try-less
  - Chiefs v Blues, Round 2 – 2nd half
  - Reds v Rebels, Round 3 – 2nd half

• After 27 matches (approx. 2160 minutes of Rugby), 104 tries have been scored
  - Hurricanes lead the way with 12
  - Rebels are in last position with just 3
  - The average is 1.73 tries, per match, per team

  - The Force are currently the worst-defensive side with 12 tries against them, while the Cheetahs and Blues are the second-worst with 10 tries against them both
  - The Bulls and Stormers are the best-defensive sides, after four rounds, with just 4 tries against them both (at an average of just one a match)
 
• Bjorn Basson (Bulls), Sona Taumalolo (Chiefs), TJ Perenara (Hurricanes) and Willie le Roux (Cheetahs) lead the individual try-scoring list with 3 each
  - There are 13 players in equal second position with two tries each
  - There are 64 players in equal third position with one try each
  - There have been 2 penalty-tries awarded

• After 27 matches, 22 cards have been issued (on and off field) from the 14 Referees to have officiated matches
  - 13 Yellow Cards
  - 3 Off-Field Yellow Cards
  - 1 Red Card
  - 5 White Cards

• Only 5 of the 14 Referees are yet to issue a Card in any of their matches
  - Ian Smith, Keith Brown, Angus Gardner, Chris Pollock and Glen Jackson
  - Chris Pollock was, however, involved in an Off-Field Yellow Card being issued
  - Mark Lawrence and Marius Jonker have issued the most Cards, with 3 Yellow and 1 White
  - Lawrence has refereed 3 matches, while Jonker has refereed just 1
  - The Hurricanes are the most ill-disciplined side with 5 Yellow Cards issued against them, while the Brumbies, Chiefs, Crusaders, Force, Highlanders, Lions, Rebels and Stormers have none
  - The Bulls are the only side with a Red Card having been issued against them
