Trials

The trials are open to girls 16 years and over, and are being held in four locations around Australia. They will run for four hours, including registration.

The ARU coaches will give you an introduction to Sevens Rugby and an overview of the High Performance Program. This will be followed by general measurements, in addition to fitness and skills testing, including coordination, spatial awareness and catching. There will be no contact involved.

There is no commitment from you at this stage in terms of time and training, and you’ll be able to continue to play your current sport. If you are successful at these trials, there is a three-day (over a weekend) Development Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra at the end of the year.

If you are unable to attend any of the trials, please register your interest at your nearest location and fill in the ‘Other relevant information’ field to say that you can’t attend. We will endeavour to hold additional trials, so it is worth registering even though you cannot make the listed dates.
