A member of the 2009 Sevens Rugby World Cup-winning side, Bo De La Cruz is in her third year of competing for Australia.
De La Cruz is another member of the squad who entered the sport with a significant touch football background, having competed in two Touch Football World Cups in 2002 and 2007. She was also a member of the 2011 National Indigenous Rugby League team.
The pacey flyhalf comes from a sporty family, with her Father playing for the National Indigenous Rugby League team and her uncle a halfback for the Canberra Raiders in 1982. She is also cousins with AFL stars Daniel and Steven Motlop and Canterbury Bulldogs hooker Joel Romelo.
De La Cruz also works as a Program Manager for Indigenous Girls Engagement in the Northern Territory.
