Head Coach

Chris Lane has worked across state, national and international level Rugby.

Lane started as a Development Officer at GPS Rugby Club in Brisbane. After a four year stint there he moved on to the Queensland Rugby Union where he looked after the Junior Gold Program.

Twelve months ago Lane became the first ever full-time Australian Women’s Sevens Coach. He coached the Australian Women’s side at their first international tournament in Dubai in early December 2011 at the IRB Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup and again this year in Hong Kong, London and Amsterdam.

Lane spent the three years prior to this with the Australian Rugby Union running the National Pathway to Gold Program in Queensland.
