A Sevens Rugby World Cup winner in 2009 and the current captain of the Australian Women’s Sevens, Rebecca Tavo is one of the most experienced members of the squad.
Prior to an injury in Dubai in late 2012, Tavo had played in every international tournament Australia had competed in since making her debut at the Sevens Rugby World Cup qualifier in 2008.
She is also a dual international, having represented Australia in both Rugby Sevens and touch football and has won a World Cup in both codes.
A train driver in Port Hedland, WA, by trade, Tavo is heading into her sixth year with the Australian Sevens squad.
