A member of Australian Rugby Union’s National Academy and currently playing Colts with Canberra side Royals, Tom Cusack has previously represented Australia at the Schoolboys and under-20 level.
A former member of the ARU National Gold Squad – the ARU’s national Rugby development program for high school students, Cusack showed a talent for Rugby at an early age.
Cusack was brought into the Australian Sevens squad for the Wellington Sevens in 2013 and quickly established himself as an asset with ball in hand. He was already familiar with several teammates, having played alongside Sean McMahon, Allan Fa’alava’au, Lewis Holland and Con Foley at the IRB Junior World Championships the previous year.
A graduate of Marist College Canberra, Cusack is currently completing a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Exercise Science at University of Canberra.
A talented all-rounder, Cusack’s skills span further than the Rugby pitch and classroom, he has also been playing piano since he was 12 years old and actually hold an Italian passport through his mother.
Most recently, Cusack represented the Canberra Vikings in the newly-formed National Rugby Championship.
