Originally from Tokoroa in New Zealand, Amy Turner represented both the New Zealand Maori Sevens and the New Zealand Touch Football teams before crossing the ditch. Now living in Queensland, Turner has represented her adopted state’s women’s team and has transitioned nicely into the contact form of the game.
The winger earned her first call up to the Qantas Women’s Sevens at an IRB Sevens World Series event for the Houston leg of the 2012-2013 IRB Women’s Sevens series. Amy was a member of the squad that won the Dubai and Sao Paulo legs in the 2013-14 IRB Women’s Sevens World Series.
