Emilee Cherry is the current IRB Women's Sevens Player of the Year after a series of stunning displays throughout the 2013-14 season.
Widely regarded as the finest female Sevens player in the world, Emilee was the top try scorer (33) and points scorer (195) for the season just finished.
Prior to earning a spot in the Qantas Sevens Squad, the proud Queenslander captained the Australian Under-20 Touch Football side and competed with the Australia Sevens domestic side, the Aussie Pearls.
The 2011 Darling Downs Senior Sports Star of the Year made her debut for the national team during the first-ever IRB-Sanctioned Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup in Dubai and has been a constant in the team ever since.
Emilee's sporting hero is Rugby League, and fellow Roma product, Darren Lockyer.
