A butcher by trade, Allan Fa’alava’au impressed during his first season with the Australian Men’s Sevens side after being called up as injury cover for the Las Vegas Sevens in 2012.
Still a teenager, Fa’alava’au impressed in his debut tournament, scoring a double in Australia’s Bowl quarter-final appearance against Brazil.
A former Australian Schools representative, Fa’alava’au continued to add to his already impressive résumé in 2012 when he was named to the Australian Under-20 side for the Junior World Championship in South Africa.
As a member of the Australian Schoolboys, he played alongside current teammates Cam Clark and Sean McMahon. He was joined by Sevens teammates Lewis Holland, Con Foley, Tom Cusack and McMahon again as members of the Australian Under 20’s side.
Fa’alava’au missed much of the 2013 schedule due to an injury he received in Wellington but will take to the field again in 2014 when he re-joins the Australian team at the USA Sevens in Las Vegas.
Representative honours: Australian Schools (2011), Australian Under-20 (2012)
