Called into the Qantas Men’s Sevens prior to the inaugural Gold Coast Sevens – Fever Pitch, Solomoni Rasolea is a hard-running, solid ball carrier.
Rasolea burst onto the HSBC Sevens World Series, earning a start on debut, taking on South Africa on the Gold Coast.
He went on to start in five of seven games at the Gold Coast event and scored his first-ever try on the international circuit against the United States in the pool stages of the inaugural event.
Rasolea had a further two starts in the opening stages of the Dubai leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series, but injury cut his tournament short and ruled him out of selection contention until the latter stages of the 2011-2012 season.
