Reason you started refereeing?
Started playing rugby at the age of 9 and was encouraged at school to continue developing my passion for the game and try refereeing.
Best on-field rugby highlights?
Refereeing a final in Apia, Samoa were playing Tonga at an Oceania Schools tournament. A great experience to referee such a physical game in very hot tropical conditions.
A player once asked if I could take time off in the game to allow him a toilet break. A team mate inferred that it might be a permanent replacement.
Best off-field rugby highlights?
Attending a karaoke festival in Japan as well as participating in a traditional fa'a Samoa day with the local referees were great experiences at a couple of tournaments, and make refereeing a great way to travel.
