CAMERON SHEPHERD enjoyed a landmark 2006 which culminated in his Test debut against England in Sydney, a starting XV debut during the Tri Nations and a two try haul against Wales on the Spring Tour. In 2007, Shepherd added seven tries to his score card, before a knee injury in Round 12 of the Super 14 cost him selection in the initial Rugby World Cup squad, but he was later called into the team for the injured Mark Gerrard.
2003 Represented the Australian Under 21s at the iRB World Championship in England. It was his first of three consecutive years in the Australian Under 21s team.
2004 Made his Super 12 debut for the Waratahs against the Crusaders in Christchurch and then represented Australia A against the French Barbarians in Paris on the Spring Tour.
2005 Was selected as one of six debutants for the Spring Tour of the UK & France and played a key role in the Australia A victory over the French Barbarians in Bordeaux.
2006 After scoring seven tries and posting 121 total points in his maiden Super 14 campaign with the Western Force, he scored three Test tries in five appearances for the Wallabies after gaining his first test cap as a replacement against England in Sydney.
He then made his starting debut against South Africa in Johannesburg in the final Tri Nations Test and retained his place on the wing for the Spring Tour clash with Wales at Millenium Stadium.
He also represented Australia in Sevens alongside Matt Giteau, Lote Tuqiri and Chris Latham at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
2007 Was one of the Force’s most consistent players during the Super 14, starting 11 matches on the left wing and again posted seven tries for the season. His last second try and sideline conversion to steal a memorable first win at Subiaco Oval against the Hurricanes was one of the highlights of the tournament. A knee injury cost him a spot in the Rugby World Cup squad, but he was a late call up after injury in France to Mark Gerrard.
