TIMANA TAHU joined the Waratahs in 2008 after eight years and 159 games in rugby league for Parramatta, Newcastle and Australia. A member of the premiership-winning Newcastle NRL team in 2001, Tahu spent a decade with the Knights, departing with the record as the highest tryscorer crossing for 82 tries in six seasons of first grade. Tahu joined Parramatta in 2005 scoring another 20 tries, as well as eight tries for NSW in his 11 State of Origin matches.
1999 Debuted with the Newcastle Knights in NRL premiership.
2000 Top tryscorer with Newcastle in 2000 season - 20 tries.
2001 Member of Newcastle premiership winning team, scoring the try that sealed the game, second year as top tryscorer for Knights (18), played for Country against City.
2002 Scored 21 tries in 21 games for Knights and for third consecutive year named top tryscorer, debuted for NSW in State of Origin, and two Tests for Australian Kangaroos rugby league team, scoring a try in each appearance.
2003 Season with Newcastle shortened due to injury, but scored 14 tries in 14 games.
2004 Capped for Australia in Anzac Day Test against New Zealand, but struggled with injuries for most of the year.
2005 Joined Parramatta in the NRL competition, moved to centre, scoring 10 tries.
2006 Season ended after third State of Origin match.
2007 Announced move to Waratahs and ARU for four years from 2008.
