STEPHEN HOILES returned to the international Test arena in great style in 2007, playing all 12 Test matches, scoring three tries and retaining the No. 8 jersey. Domestically in 2007, Hoiles played every minute of all Super 14 matches except for a five minute blood replacement, and showed great pace and mobility as one of the Brumbies most consistent performers.
After losing the entire 2005 Test season to a knee injury, Hoiles was selected in the Spring Tour squad and secured his first Wallaby cap in two years against Wales in Cardiff.
2001 Represented the Australian Sevens team.
2004 Was named as a bolter for the Spring Tour, picked on his strong Club form for Randwick after playing only four Super 12 matches and two tour matches in his debut season with the Waratahs.
He went on to play an important role in the Australia A victory over the French Barbarians in Bordeaux before making his Test debut as a replacement against Scotland in Glasgow.
2005 Was selected in the Wallaby squad for the domestic season only to suffer a season ending knee injury at training leading up to the first Test of the year against Samoa.
2006 Played in all three back row positions for the Waratahs during the Super 14 before linking with the Brumbies where he was a standout in their victorious APC (Australian Provincial Championship) campaign.
He then won a place in the 37-man Spring Tour squad and played all three mid-week matches before securing his first Wallaby cap in two years when he came on as a replacement against Wales at Millenium Stadium.
2007 Played every match in his debut season with the Brumbies at Number 8. One of six players who appeared in all Test matches, domestically and internationally for the Wallabies, including Rugby World Cup in France.
