RYAN CROSS made his debut with the Western Force in the first round of the 2007 Super 14 season and played every match that season, scoring three tries. Cross played in all five of Australia A’s matches in the 2007 Pacific Nations Cups, joined the Wallabies squad ahead of the Bledisloe Cup match in Melbourne, and was the only Western Force player selected in the Rugby World Cup shadow squad.
After nine seasons with the Sydney Roosters in Rugby League where he was the Club’s fifth highest try scorer in team history, Cross returns to Rugby Union where he represented Australian Schoolboys in 1996 and 1997.
1996-1997 Represented the Australian Schoolboys whilst attending Waverley College. Some of his teammates included current Wallabies George Smith, Phil Waugh and David Lyons.
1998 Switched to rugby league joining the Sydney Roosters, scoring two tries on debut against the Manly Sea Eagles.
2000 Played in the Sydney Roosters’ first NRL Grand Final appearance in 20 years. The Roosters lost to the Brisbane Broncos (who had Wallaby Lote Tuqiri in their lineup) in the decider.
2001-2002 Missed the majority of both NRL seasons with serious leg injuries.
2003-2004 Played in two more Grand Final defeats with the Roosters and in 2004 was selected to represent City Origin.
2006 Ended an intense period of speculation by signing with the Western Force for the 2007 season.
2007 Played every match in his debut season of Super 14 rugby, scoring three tries. Represented Australia A in all five Pacific Nations Cup matches, and squad member of the Wallabies for Bledisloe Cup match in Melbourne, as well as shadow squad member for Rugby World Cup.
