SCOTT STANIFORTH will make a remarkable return to the World Cup after making his debut back in the 1999 tournament. The veteran utility settled back into the Wallabies set up after breaking a four year hiatus from Test rugby when he returned to Australia after three years in the UK in 2006. He added four Test caps, including one in the starting XV this winter.

Made his Waratahs debut against Border Reivers and also represented the Australian Under 21s team.

Made his Super 12 debut for the Waratahs against the Stormers in Cape Town and made his first tour with the Wallabies

-2001: Scored two tries in his Test debut against the USA at the World Cup in Limerick and represented the Wallabies again in 2001 against the Barbarians.

Scored a record nine tries for the Waratahs and while injury denied him a place in the Test squad at the start of the season, he won the NSW premiership with Eastwood and was recalled for the Spring Tour where he played against Ireland and Italy.

-2004: Was a consistent performer for the Waratahs playing wing and centre before signing with London Irish at the end of 2004.

Played a total of 24 games with London Irish, scoring seven tries and earning the club’s Player of the Season award.

His try-scoring feats with the Western Force earned him a recall to International rugby for the first time in four years in the final Tri Nations Test against South Africa in Johannesburg.  Played in a further two Tests on the Spring Tour to take his career tally to six Tests since 2002.

Played in nine matches and Captained the Western Force for the first time in the Super 14 clash with the Waratahs. He then added four more Test caps for the Wallabies during the winter, celebrating his first Test on home soil with a pair of tries against Fiji in Perth.

Off Field: Scott is developing his interest in property and valuation and enjoys spending time with his family.
