SEAN HARDMAN emerged as perhaps the biggest bolter in the Wallabies World Cup squad after winning one of three hooker spots in the 30-man squad. The 30-year-old Queenslander made two cameo appearances from the reserves bench during the 2006 and 2007 Tri Nations campaigns and has totalled just three caps for the Wallabies since his Test debut in 2002.
1994: Toured the UK with the Australian Schoolboys as a prop whilst attending Nudgee College.
1995-1996: Made his Club debut for Brothers at hooker and missed selection in the Australian Under 19s after having both legs operated on for compartment syndrome.
1998: Toured South Africa with the victorious Australian Under 21s team.
1999-2000: Made his Queensland debut against Auckland before making his Super 12 debut for the Reds against the Highlanders in Dunedin in 2000.
2002: Started the first four matches of the Super 12 season but finished the season on the reserves bench before winning selection in the Wallabies squad for the winter Test series.
He then made his Test debut against France in Melbourne and played three matches for Australia A.
2004-2005: Won the Reds Most Reliable Player award and made the Queensland hooking position his own before missing the winter Test series with a knee injury. He represented Australia A in matches against the Junior All Blacks in 2005.
2006: Splitting time in the Reds No.2 jersey with Stephen Moore during the Super 14, he earned a surprise call up to the Wallabies squad during the Tri Nations. He played the final 28 minutes of the Wallabies record win over South Africa in Brisbane as a second half sub.
2007: After again sharing time in the Reds No.2 jersey, he represented Australia A during the Pacific Nations Cup and then returned to the Wallabies to make his third Test appearance against South Africa in Sydney. He then won a place in the 30-man World Cup squad.
Off Field: Sean has completed a Bachelor of Commerce
