 Represented the Australian Under 16s.
Played in the Australian Schoolboys team out of Nudgee College in Brisbane.
Switched to rugby league after signing a two year contract with the Bulldogs in the National Rugby League.
Returned to rugby and toured Japan with Australia A after making his Super 12 debut for the Waratahs against the Blues in Sydney.
Was one of the Waratahs most consistent performers in only his second year of Super 12 rugby, playing in all 11 matches.
Made his Test debut against Samoa at blindside flanker after featuring in 12 of the 13 matches for the Waratahs on their way to a maiden Super 12 Final.
After scoring a try on debut against Samoa, he featured in a further eight Tests for the Wallabies, starting at blindside flanker on seven occasions
Established himself in the Wallabies starting forward pack, playing all of the Wallabies’ 13 Tests – the first four at Number 8 and the remaining nine at blindside flanker.
Made his captaincy debut for the Waratahs against the Highlanders in Week 12, celebrated his 50th Super Rugby cap and continued his strong run of form at Test level.
