The youngest member of the Wallabies World Cup squad at 21, BERRICK BARNES enhanced his reputation as one of Australian Rugby’s most exciting prospects in 2007 playing flyhalf and inside centre for the Reds during his Super 14 campaign before wearing the Number 10 in four Pacific Nations Cup matches for Australia A.
2005: Joined the Brisbane Broncos (Rugby League) as an eighteen-year-old and played nine First Grade matches in his only season in the NRL.
2006: Switched to rugby to join the Queensland Reds where he made his debut in the opening match of the season against the Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium. In 11 matches he scored three tries and added two conversions and two penalties as a back up goal kicker.
2007: Played in all but one of the Reds Super 14 matches after recovering from an off-season shoulder reconstruction. He proved his versatility with appearances at flyhalf and inside centre before cracking the representative scene to play flyhalf in four of the five Pacific Nations Cup matches for Australia A.
Off Field: Berrick is currently studying a Bachelor of Business in Leisure Studies
