DAN VICKERMAN produced one of his best seasons of International Rugby after recovering from a shoulder injury which prematurely ended his 2005 Test season.

The tallest player in the Wallaby squad at 204cm, Vickerman played all but one match for the Waratahs in the Tooheys New Super 14 before lifting his number of Test appearances to 40 after starting each of the Wallabies’ nine Tests during the winter.

The South African-born lock was elevated to Vice Captain for the Wallabies this year and furthered his leadership role by taking over lineout calling duties mid-way through the series.

With four full seasons of Test rugby behind him, Vickerman is one of the most experienced forwards in the Wallabies squad and a key player in the build up to the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
