Scott Daruda made his Super 12 debut for the Reds in 2005, coming on as a replacement in two matches, before captaining the Australian Under 19s at the IRB World Championships in Ireland and then as a member of the Australian Under 21s in Argentina.
Still only 21 years of age, the former Nudgee College First XV player is a talented flyhalf who can also play in the centres. He has gained valuable experience as members of the Under 19 and Under 21 age championships and as a member of the Australia A squad to play the French Barbarians.
Daruda's mother is from Papua New Guinea, where he was also born and his father is Austrian. His 2006 Super 14 run is as a member of the newly formed Western Force.
