Rodney moved from his home in Sydney to Queensland in 2004 and made his state debut a year later against the Highlanders, after graduating through Australian Schools (2001) and Australian U21 (2004) ranks. Rodney came of age in 2006 and forced himself into Wallaby contention winning 7 Test caps in an exciting debut year. However his 2007 Super 14 season was cut short by a foot injury which only allowed him to play 6 games. Playfully dubbed ‘Rodzilla’ by his Reds team mates, the 2006 Reds Players’ Player of the Year is one of the biggest men in Australian rugby at 136kg.
