Jack Debreczeni is one of the most exciting young players in the Rebels' squad, and is locked in for the near future, signed until the end of the 2017 season. The 2015 season marked just his second in Melbourne and the young flyhalf/fullback missed just one match after making five appearances at the back of his maiden campaign in 2014, as well as reaching 50 points. His booming boot was on display in Round 11 against the Waratahs, as he slotted penalty goals from all over the field to nearly lift the Rebels to an unlikely come-from-behind victory in Sydney, and he smashed over a 57-metre penalty in the Rebels' first ever win against the Chiefs at AAMI Park. Debreczeni, a 2011 Australian Schoolboys representative, originally moved to Melbourne from Sydney's West Harbour as a member of the club's Extended Playing Squad for the 2014 season, resisting overtures from rival football codes in the process.
