Previously on a NSW Waratahs’ supplementary squad contract, Harry Jones formed part of the team’s Extended Playing Squad in 2017 after receiving a promotion following his great form in both the Shute Shield and the NRC.
The 21-year-old northern beaches born utility back was recognised at the 2016 Sydney Rugby Union Awards as the years leading try-scorer in the Shute Shield with 16 tries.
Jones has also been a committed member of the Warringah Rats since Under 10s level after playing his junior years with the Newport Breakers.
He made his First Grade debut for the Rats in the Shute Shield in 2014, the same year he represented in the Australian Youth Olympics and NSW Waratahs Sevens World Series teams.
Despite not having his contract renewed with the Waratahs, Jones was an integral part of the Shute Shield premiership winning side the Warringah Rats.
This is Jones' second year with the Sydney Rays in the NRC.
