Biography

Following in the footsteps by her father who played professional rugby league and her brother Montana who played Australian Schoolboys Rugby, Georgia O’Neill has had a rapid rise through the ranks of Australian Women’s Rugby after excelling in cross country and athletics during high school. Despite veering from her Rugby ambitions to pursue a potential Olympic Games journey as a boxer after impressing at an AIS draft camp, O’Neill comes back to Rugby with the fight well and truly engrained in her DNA. The ACT flanker claimed two awards for her outstanding 2016 rugby season, the Helen Taylor Trophies for ACT Women’s Sevens and XVs player of the year.

2018

After an impressive Buildcorp Super W season in 2018 for the ACT, O’Neil will wear the green and gold of the Wallaroo’s jersey yet again as they take on New Zealand on home soil for the first time.
