|Date of birth||9 September 1987|
Ashley was born with bilateral hip dysplasia, and was told by doctors there was a good chance she’d never play sport; to say she proved them wrong would be an understatement. Ashley has been playing state level touch football for 13 years, and added rugby to those duties in 2014. Despite her diagnosis, it was still hard to believe Ashley was never going to become a rugby player; her dad played for Waikato in the 1970s, and her younger brothers came through the youth system with the Brumbies. She is continuing to prove doubters wrong as a secondary school PD/H/PE teacher.
