In its second year of operation, the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship (NRC) has shaped up to be a valuable Rugby pathway for many Australian players, featuring Qantas Wallaby players and Super Rugby stars.

The influence of the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship has been underscored with the news that a host of players from last year’s competition have signed fresh contracts with Super Rugby franchises for 2016 and beyond in the past 48 hours.

The Australian Rugby Union extended its congratulations to McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City for their 37-26 win over Property Club Perth Spirit at Ballymore Stadium yesterday, taking out the inaugural Buildcorp National Rugby Championship.

The Buildcorp National Rugby Championship Final will see McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City take on Property Club Perth Spirit at Ballymore Stadium, Brisbane on Saturday evening.

The Buildcorp NRC Semi-Finals kick off on Friday night with Charles Sturt University NSW Country Eagles hosting McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City on the NSW Central Coast.  The second Semi-Final will be played on Saturday afternoon, with Melbourne Rising hosting Property Club Perth Spirit at AAMI Park. Both matches will be broadcast LIVE on FOX SPORTS.

Round Eight of the Buildcorp NRC saw more attacking Rugby with a record 49 tries scored across the round, and an incredible 14 tries scored in the Round Eight broadcast match between McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City and Macquarie University North Harbour Rays.

The final round of the regular season (Round Nine) kicks off this Thursday night with Sydney Stars hosting North Harbour Rays at Leichhardt Oval in Sydney. The match will be broadcast LIVE at 7.30pm on FOX SPORTS 2 & 2HD.
