Qantas Wallabies to kick off 2009 Tri-Nations in Auckland

The fixtures for the 2009 Tri-Nations tournament have been confirmed by the executive of SANZAR (South Africa New Zealand Australia Rugby).
The Qantas Wallabies will kick off the 14th edition of the tournament when they meet the All Blacks in Auckland on July 18th, 2009.
The Men of Gold will also conclude the tournament with their third fixture against the All Blacks in Wellington nine weeks later on September 19.
In between the Wallabies will travel to South Africa to play the Springboks in Cape Town on August 8th before a run of three home Tests on consecutive weekends starting with a huge Bledisloe Cup clash against the All Blacks in Sydney on August 22nd.
The Wallabies will then host the Springboks in Perth and Brisbane on the following weekends.
South Africaopen their campaign against the All Blacks in Bloemfontein on July 25 – the first time since 1976 that the New Zealand will have played a Test match at the venue.
Before these two teams meet again the following week in Durban in what are sure to be fiercely contested battles.
The Springboks also play New Zealand in Hamilton – the first time the nations will have met at the venue.
