Wallabies utility Matt Giteau has revealed he would love to play at flyhalf during Australia's tour of Europe over the coming weeks.
The Wallabies flew out of Sydney on Wednesday to prepare for the Tour which begins with a match between Australia A and the French Barbarians in Bordeaux next week.
Giteau said he definitely has the No.10 jumper in his sights and will be disappointed if he loses the position to teammate Mat Rogers.
However he has admitted Rogers played well in the role in the Wallabies' final Tri-Nations match against New Zealand.
"You are always going to be disappointed when you are not starting but having said that I got injured and I think whenever someone gets injured it opens the door for someone else," Giteau told ABC Sport.
"Unfortunately for me I did get injured but Mattie took that with both hands and played very well against the All Blacks."
