Australian Rugby Shield Round 4 Results

The Queensland Country Heelers have maintained their lead at the top of the 2008 Australian Rugby Shield table after a bonus point, 33-8, victory over the Adelaide Black Falcons on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
The Melbourne Axemen got their first win of the season, 30-3, against the Tassie Jack Jumpers in Hobart, while the NSW Country Cockatoos ran riot in their 71 point thumping of the Darwin Mosquitoes in Wollongong.
Doubles to John Norton, Michael Te Moana and Joshua Tremain giving the Cockatoos their biggest win of the season.
The Cockatoos now only need to win their final match against the Adelaide Black Falcons to win the Shield, as the Queensland Country Heelers have already played four matches and have a bye in Round 5.

Queensland Country Heelers 33 (William Anderson, Allan Chatfield, Kelemedi Degei, Aiphonse Gima, Kyle Beakey tries; Michael Zovko 4 cons) defeated Adelaide Black Falcons 8 (Ben Suttell try; Warren Duff pen) at Albert Park, Gold Coast
Melbourne Axemen 30 (Christian Brown, Reimana Pirika, Taofiga Sa, Timothy Finau, Lewis Leaumoana tries; Michael Thompson con, pen) defeated Tassie Jack Jumpers 3 (Shane Poole pen) at Rugby Park, Hobart.
