Wallabies abroad: Harris, Gill star for Lyon

While Super Rugby and the Commonwealth Games took centre stage at the weekend, all eyes were back on club rugby in Europe.

Here's how each of the Aussies abroad fared.

TOP 14

Joe Tomane's Montpellier squared off with Semi Radradra and Toulon, the latter scoring a try in his side's 32-17 win.

Peter Betham's Clermont proved far too good for a Bordeaux side stacked with Aussies - Leroy Houston, Ben Volavola, Blair Connor, Ed Fidow and Nick Frisby all featuring in the 33-3 loss.

Mike Harris, Liam Gill and Lyon had a similarly dominant result, claiming a 44-3 win over Paul Alo Emile's Stade Francais.

Rob Horne was taken to hospital after a collision playing for the Saints. Photo ;Getty ImagesFormer Wallabies centre Rob Horne spent the night in hospital, after a head clash in Northampton's win over Leicester. 

Horne was stretchered off the field in a neck brace, after a collision with Leicester no. 8 Sione Kalamafoni in their matchup.

The 28-year-old  required specialist treatment to his right arm in hospital, though the extent of the injury is not yet determined.

Matt Toomua, Tatafu Polota-Nau and Leicester couldn't get past Horne's side, Toomua crossing for a five pointer in the 27-21 result.

James Horwill's Harlequins couldn't go with James Hanson's Gloucester as they claimed a 37-9 win.

Lachie Turner, Nic White and Exeter smashed Oli Hoskins, Jake Schatz and London Irish and there was more bad news for Ben Tapuai's Bath, who fell to Saracens 41-6.
