New South Wales has taken the honours on the opening day of the National Youth Sevens, topping three of the four pools at Ballymore.
NSW Blue finished on top of the girls' Pool B, with defending champions Queensland Red dominating Pool A after five rounds of pol matches in Brisbane.
Queensland will take on WA in their semi-final, while ACT will aim to topple NSW in the final four.
NSW Blue and White will feature in the boys' major semi-finals, edging out some tough competition to top Pool A and B, respectively.
Victoria and ACT round out the boys' major semi-finalists, after some tight finishes on Saturday, with the final round delayed after a storm warning.
Finals day kicks off on Sunday 9am local, 10 am AEDT, with the girls' final at 12:30 and the boys' final
