The Crusaders have come away with a hard fought win over the Chiefs in Suva, Fiji.

The Crusaders maintained their unbeaten run with a 31-24 win over the the Chiefs in Suva on Friday, extending their lead at the top of the Super Rugby table.

The Crusaders only scored three tries to four against their closest New Zealand rivals but flyhalf Richie Mo'unga's two conversions and four penalties gave them the win.

Western Force vs Highlanders

A hapless Force outfit have not fired a shot in a dreadful 55-6 loss to the Highlanders at nib Stadium.

It is hard to draw many, if any, positives from the performance, which was a complete form reversal from their heroic win against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires this time last week.

A lacklustre effort in attack put the Force under constant defensive pressure and it was around the fringes of the breakdown where the Highlanders made the home side really hurt.

Saturday.

The South Africans rebounded from last week's shock loss to the Southern Kings to register their eighth win of the season and secure a vital bonus point to surge seven points clear of the Blues, their closest challenger for the last wildcard into the playoffs, but it was not as easy as the final scoreline suggested.

Despite being decimated by injuries and playing in the stifling humidity of for the first time, the Sharks took control of the match from the outset, dominating the home side through their rolling mauls and pick-and-drive plays, and were rewarded with six tries.

It took less than two minutes for the Rebels’ already mounting injury worries to jolt to their lowest ebb of the season, with captain Reece Hodge stretchered off after a head knock.

Hodge was knocked out after a tackle on Wallabies teammate Israel Folau in the second minute though he was back on the sideline with teammates by the break.
