Matt Giteau will face off against Dan Carter in the Top 14 final, after Toulon beat Montpellier 27-18 in the semi-final.

Capped Wallabies back Jesse Mogg finished with a double for Montpellier, but it wasn’t enough to send them through to the decider.

Mogg’s tries, coming within five minutes of each other, put Montpellier six points down but a Leigh Halfpenny penalty sealed the result for Toulon.

The Montpellier winger played 64 minutes of the match that included his brace.

The win sets up an epic Top 14 decider between Toulon and Racing 92, with Giteau and Carter set to face off at flyhalf.

Carter sent his team into the final with an extra-time conversion on Saturday morning (AEST) to put his side into the biggest match of the season.

The Top 14 final will be played in Barcelona on Saturday morning, 4:45am (AEST).
