Australian Rugby Union’s new domestic competition, the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship, continues tonight with the Macquarie University North Harbour Rays hosting McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City at Brookvale Oval in Sydney.

Macquarie University North Harbour Rays v McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City

University of Canberra Vikings v Charles Sturt University NSW Country Eagles

Viking Park will play host to a Saturday afternoon Buildcorp NRC blockbuster when the UC Vikings take on the NSW Country Eagles in the nation’s capital.

The Canberra side are coming off a 21-all draw against the North Harbour Rays while the NSW Country Eagles sit comfortably in second spot following a win over the Sydney Stars.

PCS Greater Sydney Rams v Melbourne Rising

Where: Pirtek Stadium, Sydney

Kick off time: 3:00pm AEDT

The Greater Sydney Rams will return to Pirtek Stadium for a clash against the undefeated Melbourne Rising in Round 8 of the Buildcorp NRC.

Melbourne Rising flyhalf Jack Debreczeni is currently the top point scorer in the competition on 90 points, while teammate Veainu Telusa tops the try scorers list (eight tries).

Bond University Queensland Country v Sydney Stars

Where: Mike Carney Toyota Park, Hugh St, Townsville

Kick off time: 3:00pm AEST

Did you know:

Townsville will get their first taste of the Buildcorp NRC as Queensland Country and the Sydney Stars head North for their match-up on Saturday.

The Sydney Stars have a tough challenge as they continue to chase an elusive first victory in this year’s competition.

NOTE: Perth Spirit have a bye in Round 8.
