Nick Cummins will continue his Olympic bid in Paris, one of five changes to the Australian Men's Sevens side for the French World Series leg.

Cummins played briefly in Hong Kong before an ankle injury forced him out of both that and the following tournament in Singapore.

Jesse Parahi is also set to make his return in the tournament, his first competition in a year.

Parahi recently returned to Sevens after a brief stint with the NRL's Wests Tigers and will slot straight back into the team, along with skipper names Ed Jenkins and star Cam Clark, who were rested in Singapore.

Young speedster Henry Hutchison will add to their attack, overcoming a foot problem to make the Paris side.

Lewis Holland (syndesmosis), Greg Jeloudev (foot), Tom Cusack (wrist), Henry Speight (cheekbone) Tom Lucas (knee) and Nick Malouf (knee) are all unavailable for the rest of the World Series.

In more positive injury news, Pama Fou will definitely make his return in the London leg of the World Series after missing five months with a shoulder injury.

The Australian Sevens program announced on Thursday night that Quade Cooper would not be included in any of the World Series squads or the Olympics.

Men's Sevens coach Andy Friend said this tournament would be vital in terms of

"When I look at the squad that I've chosen for this Paris I'm excited. We have two genuine outside backs in Henry and Nick who love to use their pace but are also strong defensively while it is always good to welcome back players of the calibre of Ed Jenkins and Cameron Clark," he said.

"With team selection for the Rio Olympics drawing ever closer, competition for those 12 spots is heating up and I expect to see a real edge to our game in these last two tournaments. I want us to be clinical and I want us to be ruthless. We have a big challenge ahead of us with a tough pool but I'm confident we have the personnel to perform really well."
